Barefoot Homeschool (the "Site" or "Service") is operated by KlicPoint Media Solutions LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a Missouri limited liability company. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What the Service is

Barefoot Homeschool is a free, neutral directory of homeschool programs, groups, and curriculum. We publish information submitted by program operators and families, gathered from public sources, or compiled with the assistance of automated tools, and reviewed by our team before publication.

We are a directory, not a provider. We do not operate, sponsor, staff, supervise, license, accredit, insure, or control any program, group, co-op, class, event, teacher, or curriculum listed on the Site. We are not a party to any agreement you enter into with a listed organization.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be 18 or older to submit a listing, create an account, or contact us.
The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly create accounts for or collect personal information from anyone under 13.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for all activity under your account.
We may suspend or terminate any account or listing at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms.

3. No endorsement, no vetting, no verification

A listing on the Site is not a recommendation, endorsement, certification, or guarantee of any kind. We do not conduct background checks, safety inspections, licensing verification, insurance verification, staff screening, or curriculum quality reviews of listed programs or publishers.

You are solely responsible for evaluating any program, group, teacher, or curriculum before enrolling, attending, purchasing, or allowing your child to participate — including conducting whatever background, safety, references, licensing, and insurance checks you consider appropriate. Any interaction, transaction, or relationship between you and a listed organization is strictly between you and that organization, and you assume all risk associated with it.

4. Accuracy of information

Listing details, contact information, schedules, pricing, ages served, and state law summaries change frequently and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. We make no representation or warranty that any information on the Site is accurate, current, or complete. Always verify directly with the program, publisher, or official government source. If you find something wrong, please use the "Report incorrect information" link on the listing.

5. State guides are not legal advice

Our state pages summarize homeschool laws and requirements for general informational purposes only. They are not legal advice, do not create an attorney-client relationship, and should not be relied upon as a statement of current law. Homeschool statutes, regulations, agency guidance, forms, deadlines, and funding programs change. Consult the official state sources we link to, or a qualified attorney or homeschool legal organization, before making decisions about legal compliance.

6. Your submissions

Submit only accurate information about real programs you operate or have firsthand knowledge of.
Do not submit content you don't have the right to share, including copyrighted text or photos belonging to someone else.
Do not submit photographs that identify minors without the written permission of their parent or guardian.
No spam, duplicate submissions, or content unrelated to homeschooling.
No content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or that targets or endangers children.

By submitting content you represent that you have the right to do so, and you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, and display that content as part of the directory and in related promotion of the directory. You retain ownership of your content. We may edit, reformat, decline, or remove any submission for any reason.

7. Claiming a listing

Program operators may claim a listing to manage its details. Claims are verified by email and reviewed by us. You may only claim a listing for an organization you are authorized to represent. Claiming a listing does not transfer ownership of the directory entry itself, and we retain the right to edit or remove listings.

8. Acceptable use

Don't scrape, crawl at abusive rates, bulk-copy, or republish the directory without written permission.
Don't attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security controls.
Don't use the Site to harvest contact information for marketing or solicitation.
Don't interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Site or its infrastructure.

9. Third-party links and affiliate relationships

The Site links to third-party websites we do not control and are not responsible for. Some curriculum links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you purchase through them at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence which listings we publish or how they rank. See our affiliate disclosure for details.

10. Intellectual property

The Site's name, logo, design, organization, compilation, and editorial content are owned by KlicPoint Media Solutions LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. Individual listing content remains the property of the party who submitted it. Third-party names and marks appearing on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KLICPOINT MEDIA SOLUTIONS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ANY PROGRAM, GROUP, TEACHER, OR CURRICULUM LISTED ON IT — INCLUDING ANY PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR HARM ARISING FROM YOUR OR YOUR CHILD'S PARTICIPATION IN A LISTED PROGRAM.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless KlicPoint Media Solutions LLC from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your submissions, your violation of these Terms, or your dealings with any listed organization.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, or remove any listing, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. Sections 6 (license), 10–13, and 16 survive termination.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above will change when we do. Material changes will be noted on the Site. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

16. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Clay County, Missouri, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

17. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our privacy policy, affiliate disclosure, and DMCA policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
